Expect 40-50% growth in road sector In FY12: NHAI

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, JN Singh, member (finance) of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said they have planed to tender 2,000 kilometer in the first quarter of FY12. "We will tender a total of 7,300 km in FY12," he said.

Q: When we last meet you said that as of December 31, 4,400 kilometers of roads had already been tendered. What is the record that you are finishing FY11 with in terms of number of kilometers tendered and how does it compare with the previous years?
A: We are finishing about with about 5,100 km compared to last year
