It has been almost a month since Competition Commission of India (CCI) imposed a hefty penalty of Rs 630 crore on the real estate major DLF. The hue and cry over the penalty is still far from dying down with some legal experts picking holes in CCI's order. CCI member R Prasad reiterated that DLF had abused its dominant position in the 'relvant market'. He also shed light on CCI's thinking behind the order.
"Standard industry practices do not mean that one can abuse its consumers because it is an industrial practice. If you see any agreement, it is always one sided.
