The latest study on the ''top 100 most valuable global brands'' by Millward Brown says Apple has dethroned four-year leader Google at the top of the charts.

Take a look at who stands where... Apple has decisively ended Google's four-year reign as the world's top most valuable brand. Brand apple is now valued at USD 153 billion -- that's almost half of Apple's market capitalisation.  Google, now at number 2, bears the distinction of being the only brand in the top 10, which has lost brand value. Tech and communications giants continue to rule the top ten though, you have IBM at number 3, Microsoft at number 5, AT&T at number 7 and China Mobile at number 9. Adding spice to the list are fast food kings. Driven by strong demand from Asia, specifically China, MC Donalds comes in at number 4 and Coca Cola stands at 6. But here are a few other biggies that caught our eye, Facebook made it onto the list for the first time, at no 35, with a 246% surge in its estimated brand value. And Toyota managed to put the 2010 car recall behind it and reclaimed its position as the world's most valuable car brand -- at number 27. There is an Indian brand up there as well... ICICI Bank makes it to number 53, with an estimated brand value of USD 14,900 million. But China is China and it boasts 12 brands in the top 100.
