The Supreme Court has granted bail to former Satyam head, Ramalinga Raju. Quoting sources, Appaji Reddem of CNBC-TV18 reports that it is said to be a conditional bail. CBI has all the information including data related to the Satyam scam in terms of hard disk and document, and there is no reason why Raju should be present at Chanchalguda jail.
What the CBI has been arguing is that if Raju is out of the jail, he could possibly influence witnesses. Nonetheless, Raju has been granted bail today.
What is to be noted here is that this is the second time this is happening that Raju is out on bail. Earlier, the Supreme Court cancelled a bail given by the High Court.
Reddem reports that the details of the conditions and clauses are awaited from the court.
