The Government of India has invited application from candidates to fill up a deputy governor's post at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) by November 30, the central bank said in a release.
The appointment will be for a period of three years and the person will be eligible for re-appointment, the release said.
The central bank said persons who have at least 25 years of work experience in public administration, including experience at the level of secretary or equivalent in the Government of India, will be eligible for the application.
Further, persons who have at least 25 years of work experience in an Indian or international public financial institution, or persons of exceptional merit and track record at the national or international level in the relevant field(s) are also eligible to apply, it added.
The candidate applying for the post of deputy governor of the RBI should not be 60 years as on January 15, 2025.
The post carries a pay scale of Rs 2,25,000, the release said.
Michael Debabrata Patra’s second term as deputy governor is set to end in January 2025. He was granted a one-year extension until January 2024. He had completed his initial three-year term from January 2020 to January 2023.
