Shares of Entertainment Network India (ENIL), which runs Radio Mirchi channel, gained more than 8 percent intraday on Thursday after the Finance Minister P Chidambaram said 839 FM radio channels would be auctioned in FY14.
He further said 294 more cities would be connected by FM Radio.
At 13:32 hours IST, shares rose 3.12 percent to Rs 226.20 amid hefty volumes on Bombay Stock Exchange.
Trading volumes increased 38 times to 33,990 equity shares as against five-day average of 894 shares.
