True to her Bengali character in Parineeta, Vidya Balan turned up at the screening of the film in a stunning red saree, celebrating female power in all its glory. For the uninitiated, the restored version of the 2005 movie is all set for re-release on August 29.

For the special occasion, Vidya opted for a classic chiffon saree by Gopi Vaid that was draped flawlessly around her frame. Her six-yard, priced at Rs 38,500, featured delicate gold embroidery that enhanced its beauty. Styled with a printed, sleeveless blouse, the actress looked nothing short of royalty in the ensemble.

Vidya’s look was made traditional with statement earrings and a stack of eye-catching bracelets in different styles and hues. Her makeup added to the glow, as it was dewy fresh and enhanced her Indian features. Finally, the actress’s hair was tied in a ponytail, giving her a sleek appearance.

Not only did Vidya steal the show at the screening, but Rekha, who was part of one of the songs in the film, also graced the red carpet in a white and gold saree. The legendary actress made the look regal with her earrings attached to her hair with a delicate string and her beautiful traditional bangles and bracelets. She also carried an elegant potli bag to complete her look.
