To get that flawless look, here are a few effective tips, suggested by Nayar:

• A clean dewy base: The key to any minimal makeup look is a well-prepared base. Serum-based tints, such as skin tints, are perfect for this. They offer lightweight coverage that evens out your skin tone while keeping your complexion fresh and dewy. Using serum-infused products also ensures your makeup lasts through a night of dancing, as the serum sinks into the skin and hydrates it from within. Makeup too sits better on hydrated skin because moisture plumps up the cells, reducing the appearance of fine lines and uneven texture. Dewy bases allow for better light reflection, giving the skin a healthy, luminous glow.

• Monotone makeup for a subtle look: To balance the heavy jewellery and outfit worn during Navratri, opt for monotone makeup. This technique involves using shades from the same colour family on your eyes, lips, and cheeks. Warm shades, such as pinks and peaches, can beautifully complement Indian skin tones.
