Diljit Dosanjh ruled the Met Gala 2025 blue carpet with his regal take on the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The Punjabi singer made a striking appearance in a custom Prabal Gurung creation, styled by Abhilasha Devnani, standing out for proudly bringing his cultural identity to the event.

The singer impressed in an ivory and gold sherwani, tailored to perfection, accompanied by a matching floor-grazing cape that enhanced its royal appeal. He added significance to the ensemble with an embroidered map of Punjab on the cape — a tribute to his roots.

What stood out were the statement pieces of jewellery that adorned his outfit. He wore a layered diamond set by Golecha Jewels. The Patiala necklace was inspired by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh. This was complemented by a feather atop his jewelled turban. Additionally, he sported a Panthère de Cartier watch, mixing tradition with classic luxury.

Adding a desi twist, Diljit swapped the traditional dandy walking stick for a sword with a lion head— symbolising authority and fierceness. His luxury bracelets and rings, featuring unique elements, enhanced the look, alongside his 18K rose gold and diamond watch.

Sharing the pictures on Instagram, the singer-actor wrote: “Main Hoon Punjab… #MetGala Inspired by the theme of Black Dandyism, I bring my turban, my culture & my mother tongue ‘Punjabi’ to the Met Gala. Thank you so much dear @prabalgurung @theannawintour @cartier @golecha_jewels @abhilashatd.”
