For her Cowboy Carter Tour in Paris, Beyoncé made an unforgettable impression in a custom-made ensemble designed by none other than Manish Malhotra. It marked a historic moment — celebrating Indian craftsmanship on a global stage, worn by one of the world’s most iconic performers.
Performing at the Stade de France, Beyoncé dazzled in a bold black outfit embellished with crystals. Her cowboy-style chaps were intricately hand-embroidered with sequins and over 10,000 Swarovski crystals.
The chaps were paired with a shimmering black bodysuit, also encrusted with crystals. The outfit paid tribute to traditional artistry while embracing a fashion-forward aesthetic.
Beyoncé wore the jazzy look for her performance of ‘Crazy in Love’, during which Jay-Z joined her on stage, dressed in an all-black hoodie and relaxed-fit pants. He completed the look with tan shoes. Together, they mesmerised the audience, slaying the performance with natural groove.
It’s been a milestone year for Manish Malhotra, who not only styled global celebrities for high-profile fashion events but also made his debut Met Gala appearance in an extravagant black ensemble.
Sharing his thoughts on the moment, he wrote: “MUMBAI TO MET…
35 years of dreams, stitched with love. 20 years of our brand — shaped by the hands and hearts of our artisans, tailors, assistants, and everyone I’ve worked with. Your craft is my pride.”
He continued: “This moment is yours as much as mine. It’s a tribute to each one of you — every thread a part of our shared journey, and every step ahead together… To all my wonderful teams at our Noida and Mumbai ateliers. A very special mention to @ziyuscontractor, @sahilramchandani, and @supergmumbai.”
