How would you rate actor Rakul Preet's skin? A perfect 10 on 10? Well, the actor recently came on Karishma Mehta's podcast 'How The Hell Did I Do It?' and spilled some of her skincare secrets.
Rakul is someone who swears by homemade remedies. Depending on how her skin is feeling, she has different skincare hacks that she tries from time to time.
Banana mask for smooth skin
To make this, Rakul takes a little bit of curd, some slices of banana, a little bit of honey. She makes a paste by using these ingredients and then applies it on her skin. She says this mask helps make her skin appear and feel very smooth and soft.
Take a look at the clip:
Turmeric, gram flour and raw milk for oily skin
If your skin is feeling a little oily, then all you need to do is mix these three things - a pinch of turmeric, some drops of honey or raw milk, and 1/4th tbsp of gram flour. Mix the ingredients and make a paste. Apply it on your face for some time and when you feel it starts to dry out, you can wash off your face with normal water.
Tomato juice
Rakul shared that she relies on tomato juice when she's looking for a tan removal solution. What she does is she cuts the tomato into a half and then rub the tomato on her skin. This hack she does every time she comes back from shooting outdoors.
Rakul also went on to add that she has got these habits from her mother. She shared that her mother would apply literally any fruit that she was eating on her face. Be it banana, papaya or tomato. Come to think of it, investing in skincare is fine, but it is also important to know that there are many readily available ingredients in the kitchen that can offer immense skincare benefits.
