Aditi Rao Hydari was one of the many Indian celebrities who were part of the Cannes Film Festival this year. This time, she walked the red carpet in a Rahul Mishra gown, bringing a ‘celestial aura’ to the event.
The actress looked splendid in the designer’s creation from his Fall ’24 collection, first showcased at Paris Haute Couture Week. Her ombré gown featured slick detailing with hand embroidery, 3D design, and beadwork, making it a one-of-a-kind piece.
Detailing his collection, Mishra’s Instagram handle had earlier shared,
“Rahul Mishra’s collection, Aura, captures the intangible energy of aura with illusionistic silhouettes. The hand-embroidered ‘Celestial’ aura dress showcases concentric tube beadwork complemented by undulating flows of 3D ‘salli’ embroidery to evoke a sense of cosmic harmony.”
Her stylist, Priyanka Kapadia Badani, enhanced the dazzle of Aditi’s outfit with Chopard jewels, with her necklace stealing the limelight. Her centre-parted hair was straightened for a sharp look, and pink tones were chosen for her makeup. The actress shimmered in every bit of the magical number.
Aditi had earlier shared pictures of her arrival, including her ritual of having double espressos. Her black-and-white look appeared coordinated and international. She also posted snaps of scenic views.
Along with her, the cast of Homebound also made an appearance for the big premiere night of their movie. Janhvi Kapoor stood out with her red carpet debut in a pink Tarun Tahiliani tissue corset and skirt set, accessorised with strings of regal pearls and solitaire earrings.
The designers shared, “Janhvi Kapoor’s (@janhvikapoor) ensemble features a handwoven real tissue skirt and corset, specially crafted in Benares. The surface is brought to life with a hand-crushed technique that lends depth and texture, while a signature TT drape adds a touch of sculptural fluidity. The raw, uncut hem remains untouched—an intentional ode to the authenticity of the weave.”
Meanwhile, Karan Johar nailed an ivory Manish Malhotra shirt layered with a bandhgala, paired with black trousers. Ishaan Khatter wasn’t far behind in style either. He sported a Gaurav Gupta ensemble, looking as dapper as ever.
