Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has started the application process for the post of Local Bank Officers (LBO). A total of 400 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of IOB, iob.in. The last date to submit the application is May 31, 2025.

The distribution of the 400 vacancies is as follows:

Candidates must hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India. Equivalent qualifications recognised by the Central Government are also accepted. The age limit is between 20 to 30 years as of the date mentioned in the official notification.
Selection Process
The selection will be carried out in three stages:
- Online Examination
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
- Personal Interview
Candidates who qualify in the online examination will be called for the LPT. Those who clear both the online exam and the LPT will be shortlisted for the personal interview.
The online examination will carry 200 marks with a total of 140 questions. The exam duration is 3 hours. Negative marking will be applied. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks (¼th of the marks assigned to that question) will be deducted.

- General/ EWS/ OBC candidates: Rs 850
- SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates: Rs 175 (Only intimation charges)
