Dengue fever spreads through infected Aedes mosquitoes, active during daytime, breeding in stagnant water, particularly in urban areas. The virus has four serotypes: DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4, transmitted through mosquito bites, perpetuating community spread. Environmental factors like climate change and urbanisation foster mosquito proliferation, escalating dengue transmission.

Eliminate sources of stagnant water: Reduce mosquito habitat by removing sources of stagnant water around your home, such as flower pots, buckets, and discarded tires. Regularly empty and clean water containers to prevent mosquito breeding.

Use window and door screens: Use these screens to prevent mosquitoes from entering your home. Repair any holes or tears in screens to ensure maximum protection.
