  • Several hyped Telugu films in 2025 failed at the box office despite big budgets
  • Game Changer, Hara Hari Veera Mallu, and others suffered major financial losses
  • Low turnout and poor reviews led to disappointing results for many releases.

In 2025, a number of amazing Telugu movies did well at the box office. However, there were also a lot of movies that people were really excited about but weren't as good as they imagined they would be. Tollywood has seen its share of box office failures, from large-budget movies with huge actors to smaller pictures that couldn't find an audience.

Game Changer
A lot of people talked about Ram Charan's Game Changer in early 2025. It was given as a Sankranthi gift with high aspirations. It cost roughly 400 crore rupees to make and featured many famous people. It got negative reviews and didn't do well at the box office, generating only Rs 131 crore worldwide, which was far less than expected and a big loss for the producers.

Hara Hari Veera Mallu
Pawan Kalyan's huge historical action-adventure movie was supposed to be one of the biggest hits in Tollywood this year. But after a lot of delays and a long time in creation, the movie didn't connect with viewers. It didn't fare well at the box office because critics didn't like it, largely because the story didn't make sense and the special effects weren't good. The movie cost more to make than it made.

Robinhood
People were also eager about Nithiin's Robinhood, but the movie didn't do well at the box office. The movie only grossed roughly Rs 14 crore, which wasn't enough to make the main actor and the folks who made it happy.
