Varinder Singh Ghuman, the well-known bodybuilder and actor, died on Thursday following a cardiac arrest, and the Indian fitness and film communities are in mourning. His age was 47.

Varinder, who was born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, made India proud on the global scene by working tirelessly and tenaciously. He quickly rose to fame in bodybuilding circles after winning the Mr. India title in 2009 and finishing second at Mr. Asia.

Varinder Singh Ghuman made a smooth transition into acting after dominating the fitness industry. After making his screen debut in Kabaddi Once Again (2012), he went on to star alongside Salman Khan in Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans (2014), Marjaavaan (2019), and Tiger 3 (2023).

Varinder's family claims that he went to a private hospital in Amritsar to have shoulder pain examined after complaining of it earlier in the day.
According to Amanjot Singh Ghuman, his nephew, the actor had a cardiac arrest at approximately 5 p.m. and was not able to be revived. Within hours, what started out as minor discomfort turned tragic, according to his manager, Yadvinder Singh.
