The gritty first look and teaser reveal of Ranveer Singh's upcoming film Dhurandhar, which is directed by Aditya Dhar of Uri, are already creating buzz.
Ranveer, who is well-known for his intense performances, seems more focused than ever in the action-spy thriller, suggesting a strong new persona. However, the debut of Sara Arjun, the movie's only confirmed female cast member to date, is also drawing attention.
A familiar name to South cinema fans, Sara Arjun is making a significant transition in Dhurandhar, reportedly playing a pivotal role opposite Ranveer. The film is expected to be a major cinematic event in 2025, and for 19-year-old Sara, it marks her debut in a mature leading role in a Bollywood blockbuster.
Born on 18 June 2005 in Mumbai, Sara entered the world of entertainment even before she could form full sentences. As a toddler, she featured in advertisements for major brands such as Maggi, McDonald’s, and various FMCG products. By the time she was five, she had already appeared in over 100 commercials, becoming a familiar face across Indian households.
Her cinematic breakthrough came in 2011 with the critically acclaimed Tamil drama Deiva Thirumagal, where she played the daughter of a man with intellectual disabilities, portrayed by Vikram. Her performance as Nila, at just six years old, left a lasting impression on both critics and audiences.
She’s also been appreciated in Tamil cinema for roles in Saivam, Sillu Karupatti, and notably Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan I & II, where she portrayed the younger version of Aishwarya Rai’s character.
Sara has since worked across several Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu. Her Hindi film credits include Ek Thi Daayan, 404, Jazbaa, and The Song of Scorpions.
According to a report by Gulte, Sara became India’s highest-paid child actress by 2023, reportedly earning up to ₹10 crore—all before turning 18.
Acting talent runs in the family. Her father, Raj Arjun, has been widely praised for his roles in Secret Superstar and Thalaivi, while her mother, Sanya Arjun, plays a key role in managing Sara’s career.
With Dhurandhar poised for a 2025 release, this could be Sara Arjun’s defining moment—a remarkable leap from child prodigy to a full-fledged leading lady in one of Hindi cinema’s most anticipated films.
