Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan is known for her blockbuster films and glamorous friendships in the industry. Recently, her cook, Dilip, has unexpectedly stolen the spotlight. Often mentioned in her Instagram posts and videos, Dilip has become a familiar name among Farah’s followers, earning a significant fan base.
Dilip originally hails from Madhubani, Bihar and currently resides in Mumbai. He has been married since 2003 and is the father of 3 kids. He owns a 6 BHK bungalow in his home town. He also has an agricultural land, cattle and a private lake.
Farah has recently promised Dilip that she will fund his kids’ education. During her recent vlog, filmed at TV star Shalin Bhanot’s residence, Farah said, “Kyunki abhi hamara show chal raha hai, iske bachchon ko English medium me daal diya hai (Since our show is currently running, I enrolled his children in an English-medium school).”
She added, “Aur ek bachche ko culinary school se diploma karaya hai, taki ghar me na kaam karein, kisi ache restaurant, ya bade hotel me kaam karein (And I got one of them a diploma from a culinary school, so they don’t end up working in homes but instead, work at a good restaurant or a big hotel).”

Farah frequently shares glimpses of her home life on social media, and Dilip regularly appears in those videos. Whether he’s serving meals, making snacks, or being playfully teased by Farah and her celebrity friends, his composed nature, cooking skills, and good-humoured interactions have made him somewhat of a low-key internet personality.
Dilip isn’t just a cook in Farah’s household; he’s become part of the extended family. He hosts dinner parties for Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar, Ananya Panday, and Hrithik Roshan and prepares home-style comfort food for her kids. The filmmaker often praises his cooking, calling it the “highlight of her day.”
