Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi are actively promoting their upcoming film Bhool Chuk Maaf, which is all set to hit theatres this Friday, 23rd May.
During a candid interaction between co-stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi with IMDB India, a behind-the-scenes story from the filming of Bhool Chuk Maaf offered a humorous yet enlightening moment about on-set struggles—particularly with the weather.
Rajkummar casually asked Wamiqa to share a memory from their time shooting together during their conversation. What came next was a personal story that shocked her co-star and resonated with many people who don't realise how much severe weather can affect one's appearance.
“Main aapko ek personal baat bataun? It's only after the shoot of Bhool Chuk Maaf that I got to know that I don't just need sunscreen for my skin but also for my hair,” Wamiqa confessed with a laugh. “Because I got to know that my hair was burnt.”
She went on to explain, “We were shooting at that ghat almost everyday in 50 degree Celsius toh my whole body was tanned. And I got to know later that my hair were also burnt. I never knew that you have to spray that sunscreen for hair also. So that's something I didn't know.”
Rajkummar, visibly amused and smiling, responded, “That's a beauty anecdote guys.”
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Varanasi, the film explores a charming small-town love story. It follows Ranjan, a hopeless romantic who lands a government job in hopes of marrying his beloved, Titli Mishra.
However, just as their wedding celebrations begin, an unusual twist unfolds—a mysterious time loop resets the day back to their Haldi ceremony. While Titli remains unaware of the repetition, Ranjan finds himself trapped in the same day over and over again, caught in a baffling and comical cycle.
