ZEE5, India’s largest homegrown OTT platform, has announced its next Tamil original series Veduvan, a hard-hitting emotional drama headlined by Kanna Ravi. The series, also starring Sanjeev Venkat, Sravnitha Srikanth, Ramya Ramakrishna, and Rekha Nair, is set to premiere on October 10th, exclusively on ZEE5.

In recent years, ZEE5 has carved a niche by backing regional stories that are bold, layered, and culturally rooted. Veduvan continues that vision with a narrative that pushes beyond the usual boundaries of drama.

At its core, the series follows Sooraj (played by Kanna Ravi), a struggling actor who unexpectedly lands the role of Arun, an encounter specialist. As he dives deeper into preparing for the part, he finds himself tangled in mysteries, moral conflicts, and emotional crossroads. The line between reel and real starts to blur, and what begins as a job quickly transforms into a journey of betrayal, corruption, and painful truths. The story challenges Sooraj not only as an actor but as a man forced to confront the choices that define him.

Sharing his thoughts, Kanna Ravi said, “Veduvan is a project that spoke to me the moment I heard the narration. It’s not just a story about one man’s journey but an exploration of choices, consequences, and the fine line between right and wrong. As an actor, this role pushed me to step outside my comfort zone and truly live in the shoes of the character. This is an experience that will stay with you long after you finish watching.”
