Twinkle Khanna talks about the pressure her children face over skin complexion, says "This comparison between her and her brother in skin colour..."

Twinkle Khanna, the former actress and wife of Akshay Kumar, recently spoke out about the constant comparisons and pressure her children, Aarav and Nitara, have faced regarding their skin color. She shared that there has always been a focus on comparing their complexions.

In conversation with FICCI FLO, twinkle said, “I learnt a lot with my first child. And I think your first child tends to be that manual. You experiment a little bit on that child. With my second one, what I realized was that… I thought she looked like a normal Indian girl, and there was always this comparison between her and her brother in skin colour or things like that. Things that exist in our country."

She further shared that she made a conscious decision to ensure her daughter, Nitara, always felt confident in her own beauty. She explained that whenever Nitara had a unibrow, she would tell her she was as beautiful as Frida Kahlo. If her skin was darker, Twinkle would describe it as golden, reinforcing her belief in her uniqueness and beauty.
