The film and television fraternity continues to mourn the loss of veteran actor Satish Shah, who passed away on October 25, 2025, due to kidney failure. He was 74. Known for his impeccable comic timing and warmth both on and off the screen, Satish Shah’s demise has left a deep void in Indian entertainment. Actress Supriya Pilgaonkar took to social media to express her grief, sharing that she had met him just a week before his passing.

Posting a heartfelt message along with a picture of herself with Satish Shah and his wife Madhu, Supriya wrote, “Gone too soon Satish! Can’t believe we met on a previous Sunday! Happy to have that memory stamped on my heart. I know you are forever watching over your beloved Madhu. We will feel your presence through her smiles, singing your favourite songs and dancing.”

Her emotional note struck a chord with many who had grown up watching Satish Shah’s work on screen. Friends, colleagues, and fans flooded the comments with condolences and fond memories, reflecting the immense love the actor inspired throughout his career.

According to reports, Shah was rushed to PD Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre after being found unresponsive at his residence. Despite sustained CPR and the best efforts of the medical team, he could not be revived. His funeral took place on Sunday, October 26, at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai, where close friends and colleagues gathered to pay their final respects. A prayer meeting was later held on October 27 at Jalaram Hall, Juhu, attended by members of the film and television industry.
