Bigg Boss 19 hosted by Salman Khan, has been in the news a lot lately due to the issue surrounding the body-shaming of television actress Ashnoor Kaur. For those who are unaware, Tanya Mittal, Neelam Giri, and Kunickaa Sadanand body-shamed Ashnoor Kaur, a fellow competitor, on the most recent episode. The three soon received criticism for their remarks.
Ayaan Lall, Kunickaa's son, has intervened to justify his mother during this time.
He recently spoke candidly with India Forums and stood up for his mother throughout the body-shaming incident. Viewers connected his return of the Jurassic Park dinosaur pun from the most recent Weekend Ka Vaar programme to body-shaming and revealed that his mother, Kunickaa, was not mentioned at all. He was cited as saying:
"Why is Ashnoor called the dinosaur of Jurassic Park? If the viewers have seen the live feed, during the egg task, Abhishek and Ashnoor put almost all the contestants in nomination. See the entire feed. The discussions of nomination are now shown in the live feed, as the episode doesn't air till Monday."
Ayaan went on to discuss the body-shaming remark. He revealed that while his mother was merely listening, Tanya and Neelam were making remarks about Ashnoor Kaur. He disclosed that Kunickaa just expressed her viewpoint over the detox issue.
According to him: "Speaking about body shaming, Neelam made a statement that Ashnoor is doing some kind of detox, to which my mother stated that she is not doing it right if she is doing it at all and that my 13-year-old kids also know how to have a detox. Her opinion is only about detox. My mother has not spoken a word about her weight. I personally have dealt with issues related to my weight. My mother would never body shame a 21-year-old girl."
