Prime Video has finally posted the trailer for the much awaited final three episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty, giving fans a glimpse of how the beloved story will come to a close. The teaser opens on an emotional note, showing Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) goin through the heartbreak of her broken engagement to Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalengo).

The two were meant to wed, but the ceremony collapsed after Conrad (Chris Briney) confessed that he was still in love with her.

As the series prepares to bow out with its last episodes, the trailer hints at a fresh chapter for Belly, who finds herself starting over in Paris. Though she seems to be enjoying new friendships and experiences, her past is never far behind. The Fisher brothers remain lodged in her thoughts, and the trailer ends with a tantalising moment — a written letter from Conrad. His voice is heard softly saying, “Dear Belly…” before the screen fades to black.

What makes this conclusion particularly intriguing is that it won’t follow Jenny Han’s best-selling book trilogy to the letter. While earlier seasons largely mirrored the novels, the creative team has signalled that these last three instalments will chart their own course, leaving audiences uncertain about how Belly, Conrad, Jeremiah, Steven and Taylor’s stories will resolve.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the season premiere, Lola Tung expressed satisfaction with Belly’s final arc. “It was really fun to feel like it was a little bit more of a mature journey or she feels more grown up, and you can sort of tell in the decisions that she makes,” she explained. “But it was really fun to film and really fun to see sort of play out.”
