Taylor Swift to skip 2025 MTV VMAs despite artist of the year nomination

Taylor said, “I would always just hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting [the ‘Fortnight’ music video]. And that one person was my boyfriend, Travis.”

The singer added, “Everything this man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic, and I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”

Last year, Taylor bagged 12 nominations, including song of the year, video of the year, best direction, best collaboration, best editing, best cinematography, best visual effects, best art direction and song of the summer.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce sparked dating rumours for the first time in July 2023 when Travis attended her Eras Tour in Kansas City. Travis has previously publicly talked about his failed attempt to give her his number.

They soon made their romance public with their constant appearances and date nights. Taylor attended a Chiefs game in September 2023, publicly confirming their relationship. They have since shown support for each other at games, dinners, and in the press.

Taylor has also attended the Super Bowl, and Travis joined her on stage during the Eras Tour. Taylor even gave Travis shoutouts in two songs, So High School and The Alchemy, on her new album Tortured Poets Department.
