After the blockbuster Superman starring David Corenswet doing the iconic cape, filmmaker James Gunn is all set to bring a Supergirl to the DC Studios. Milly Alcock stars as Supergirl, and Gunn has recently unveiled her first look poster.
Taking to his official social media account, Superman director and co-head of DC Studios James Gunn shared the poster featuring Milly Alcock in the iconic blue top and red boots.
In the pic, Alcock is seen sipping a blue slushy to promote the upcoming Supergirl with a huge Superman logo on the wall in the background. The pic featured a huge text, Look Out, with the ‘Out’ being overwritten in red text over ‘Up’. Gunn penned in the caption, “Look Out. 2026.”
The upcoming Supergirl is the second feature film in the newly rebooted DC Universe. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the upcoming film is based on the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic book arc.
The film features an ensemble cast including Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll and David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham as Supergirl's parents.
Super-powered dog Krypto will also appear in the film. However, Jason Momoa, who previously played Aquaman in the DC extended universe, returns to the screen as anti-hero Lobo.
