Superstar Rajnikanth starring Jailer was a blockbuster and grossed over Rs 600 crore worldwide. However, the film is all set for a grand release in Japan. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film’s Box Office collection is expected to soar with its release in Japan.

Rajinikanth's fans from Japan have shared posters of the film with nearing release date. A poster featuring Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and other cast members has been swirling around the social media. Considering Rajinikanth’s massive fan following in Japan, a grand celebration is anticipated. Jailer will be released on February 21 in Japan. Rajinikanth has been in the industry for more than two decades and has eventually become one of the most popular and influential actors in India. He has starred in over 170 movies so far.

However, Jailer is not the first film starring Rajinikanth to be released in Japan. In 1998, Rajinikanth’s film Muthu was released in Japan becoming the highest-grossing Indian film in the country. The film notably held the position until 2022 when SS Rajamouli's RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, surpassed the collection.
