While accepting the award, Lee expressed his gratitude and said, “Congratulations to the 'Toronto International Film Festival' on its 50th anniversary. I’m proud to be part of such a wonderful celebration.”
The actor also talked about his journey and continued, “I began acting in television dramas 35 years ago, but I always carried a deep love for cinema in my heart.”

Lee further recalled his role in Park Chan Wook’s 2000 film Joint Security Area (JSA), which earned him recognition and noted that he fulfilled my dream of appearing in a box-office hit through the project.

However, the actor delighted his fans with the announcement of the new project. He suggested that his upcoming project is based on an idea he first heard from Park 15 years ago.
