In a shocking incident that raises serious concerns about security at upscale venues, a high-end BMW Z4 convertible, valued at Rs 80 lakh, was stolen from the parking lot of Shilpa Shetty’s renowned fine-dining restaurant, Bastian, located in Dadar, Mumbai. The car's owner, businessman Ruhan Khan, reported the theft to the Shivaji Park Police Station shortly after discovering his vehicle was missing when he attempted to retrieve it after a night out with friends.

According to reports from News18 Showsha, the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 2 a.m., shortly after Khan had arrived at the restaurant and handed over his car keys to the valet. The valet parked the BMW in the restaurant's basement parking area, which is typically expected to have robust security measures in place.

However, the situation took a turn when two unidentified individuals, later seen on CCTV footage, entered the basement parking in a Jeep Compass. Utilizing advanced hacking techniques, they were able to unlock the BMW and one suspect drove off in the luxury vehicle. The sophisticated method of operation employed by the robbers has alarmed both authorities and patrons, who had presumed that such an establishment would provide a secure environment for high-value vehicles.

Khan’s distress was palpable when he approached the valet to retrieve his car, only to be informed that it was missing. Described as “shocked” by the incident, he immediately requested a review of the CCTV footage. The footage confirmed that the two suspects had indeed stolen the car, prompting Khan to file an FIR with the local police.
