For many of today's top Bollywood stars, television has frequently been their first platform. Many actors, including Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Massey, Kapil Sharma, started their careers on television before becoming well-known in Hindi cinema.
Actor Sharad Kelkar, one of this gifted group, is about to make a spectacular comeback to television, eight years after switching to big-screen roles.
The actor has reportedly been signed for the project at a fee of Rs 3.5 lakh per day, surpassing well-known actors like Kapil Sharma, Hina Khan, and Dilip Joshi to become the highest-paid actor in Indian television, according to India.com.
Now, Sharad returns to television with Tum Se Tum Tak, a show that explores an unconventional romance between a teenage girl, Anu, and a 46-year-old business magnate, Aryavardhan. The show delves into themes of societal judgment, age disparity, class differences, and the transformative power of love. Niharika Chouksey will play the role of Anu alongside Kelkar.
According to Times Entertainment, Kelkar shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “The actor has been waiting for the right project to make a comeback on TV and Tum Se Tum Tak felt like the right choice for him.”
Renowned for his powerful roles in critically acclaimed films like Tanhaji, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela, and PK, Sharad Kelkar is preparing for his comeback with a new television series called Tum Se Tum Tak.
