Samantha Ruth Prabhu reportedly refused Rs 200 crore alimony from Naga Chaitanya after divorce

According to a recent report by News18 Showsha, Samantha reportedly turned down a staggering Rs 200 crore alimony offer from her ex-husband, actor Naga Chaitanya, following their divorce.

The two actors, who were once considered one of the most loved couples in the South film industry, tied the knot in October 2017 but parted ways in 2021 after four years of marriage.

While the news of their separation had already caught public attention, what’s making waves now is Samantha’s decision to reportedly reject any financial support from Naga Chaitanya. The divorce, according to various sources, was respectful and mutual, but the massive alimony offer—and its refusal—has brought the couple back into public conversation. Samantha, known for her independent nature, reportedly chose to stand on her own feet rather than accept the Rs 200 crore settlement.

In a past appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 7, when Karan Johar asked Samantha about the worst rumor she had heard about herself, she stated it was the claim that she took Rs 250 crore in alimony. She sarcastically mentioned how she woke up every morning expecting income tax officials to question her because of these rumors. She clarified that not only did she not receive such a huge amount, but that due to a prenuptial agreement, alimony wasn’t even on the table.
