Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s debut romantic drama Saiyaara continues to dazzle at the box office, breaking records and charming audiences. The film, which released theatrically on July 18, has now made a strategic shift in its digital release plans. Initially slated to stream on OTT by late September 2025, the Mohit Suri directorial will now reportedly hit Netflix during Diwali.

According to a Times of India report, Saiyaara's makers have finalized a deal with Netflix as the film’s official streaming partner. However, due to the film’s extraordinary performance in theatres, the team is now eyeing an extended theatrical window of 90 days, pushing the OTT release to October 2025, in time for the festive Diwali season.

"Given the overwhelming response and packed cinema halls, the makers are confident about sustaining interest in theatres for a longer window," a source close to the development told TOI. "The decision to release on OTT around Diwali is aimed at capitalizing on the festive mood and family viewership."

The move deviates from the industry’s current norm of an eight-week gap between theatrical and digital releases. But Yash Raj Films, the production house behind Saiyaara, appears keen to stretch the box office run as long as possible. The film has already crossed the Rs 150 crore mark in just six days, having earlier entered the Rs 100 crore club within four.
