The much-anticipated epic Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, is already creating massive buzz following the release of its teaser.
With a large ensemble cast and lavish production cost, the movie is making waves not only for its plot but also for the outrageous salaries its actors are receiving, making it one of the costliest productions in Indian cinema history.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Record-Breaking Paycheck
According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, is receiving Rs 75 crore for each of the two roles. This is the highest salary he has ever received in his career, totaling an astounding Rs 150 crore. In contrast, it was reported that the actor made between Rs 25 and Rs 30 crore for Brahmastra: Part One: Shiva. If these rumours are accurate, Ranbir would receive his first nine-figure salary for Ramayana.
Yash as the Mighty Raavan
As per to reports, KGF star Yash, who plays the legendary antagonist Raavan, has earned Rs 50 crore for each movie, for a total of Rs 100 crore for both roles. According to earlier reports, Yash would receive an incredible Rs 200 crore fee, making him the highest-paid actor ever for a villainous role. Even though his earnings are a little lower now, he is still one of the highest paid actors in Indian cinema.
Sai Pallavi’s Significant Pay Rise
Playing the pivotal role of Sita, Sai Pallavi is said to be receiving Rs 6 crore for each installment of Ramayana, totaling Rs 12 crore. While her fee is considerably lower than her male co-stars, this represents a substantial increase from her typical South Indian film remuneration, which ranges from Rs 2.5 to Rs 3 crore.
Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman
According to reports, veteran actor Sunny Deol, who plays Lord Hanuman in the epic, will receive Rs 20 crore for each role, for a total of Rs 40 crore. This supports his status as a top-tier actor for roles that are larger than life, and it is consistent with his earnings from Gadar 2 (2023). It is anticipated that his portrayal of Hanuman will be memorable and powerful.

Directed on a massive scale and told in two parts, Ramayana is shaping up to be a landmark moment in Indian cinema. Part 1 is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
