Writer Shiraz Ahmed has confirmed that Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra will share the screen in Race 4, set to begin filming in January 2025.
This marks Saif Ali Khan’s return to the Race universe after missing the third installment, and Sidharth Malhotra is in advanced talks to join him in this action thriller.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shiraz Ahmed, who has penned the scripts for all previous Race films, revealed, “Race 4 will go on floors in January (2025).” He also mentioned that the script is nearly finalized, and the casting is almost complete, with Saif and Sidharth confirmed, while the rest of the ensemble cast will be announced later by the producers, Tips Films.
The film promises to return to the roots of the franchise, taking inspiration from the thrilling world built in the first two Race movies.
According to Ahmed, Race 4 will continue the storyline and characters from those installments, bringing back the intense rivalry and high-stakes action that fans loved.
Earlier reports by Pinkvilla revealed that Race 4 will feature a face-off between Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra. A source close to the project stated, “The film is staying true to the franchise with a reboot centered on Saif and Sid’s characters clashing. It’s a two-hero film where both characters have shades of gray.” With a mix of action, suspense, and glamor, the film is expected to be a major blockbuster.
For fans of the franchise, the announcement brings excitement as Saif returns to the Race universe.
