Pushpa 2: The Rule, the much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster film Pushpa: The Rise, is all set to hit theatres on December 5, 2024. With Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, the film has already created a massive buzz, making it one of the most anticipated films of 2024. Advance bookings for the movie began on November 30, and tickets are selling out fast.

In a major milestone, Pushpa 2 has already breached the Rs 50-crore mark in advance bookings, with 1 million tickets sold on BookMyShow. This impressive feat has smashed records set by blockbusters such as Kalki 2898 AD, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, and KGF: Chapter 2 in pre-sales, according to the latest trade reports.

In an exclusive conversation with MoneyControl.com, Gautam Dutta, CEO of PVR, speaks about the much-anticipated release, box office trends, PVR's role in handling the massive expectations surrounding the film and much more.

Gautam Dutta reveals PVR has already recorded 4,80,000 bookings for Day 1 (Thursday). "We are expecting that number to reach approximately 7 lakh by the following day. We believe that we will get to about one million footfalls on Thursday itself, which is 10 lakh people. The other way to put it is 10 Eden Gardens full at PVR," he said.
