Popular Telugu folk singer Mangli has landed in legal trouble after hosting a birthday celebration that took an unexpected turn. The event, held at a private resort near Irlapalli on the outskirts of Chevella, saw police intervention on Tuesday night, leading to significant legal implications.

According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, Mangli had invited her friends and acquaintances—many of whom are from the film industry—for a private party. The celebration reportedly had 48 attendees. However, during the festivities, law enforcement officials conducted a surprise raid at the venue, uncovering what they claim to be foreign liquor and marijuana on the premises.

Following the raid, a case was officially registered against Mangli and the resort management. The charges fall under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, as well as the Sound Pollution Act, given the nature of the gathering and the substances allegedly discovered.

The situation became even more serious when nine individuals from the party reportedly tested positive for cannabis. This has prompted authorities to begin further legal proceedings, tightening scrutiny around celebrity gatherings and private events.
