She Walks In Darkness OTT Release: Know when and where to watch Netflix series

The Spanish political thriller She Walks in Darkness is set to make its global streaming debut on Netflix on October 17, 2025. Directed and written by Agustín Díaz Yanes, the film has already stirred excitement among international audiences for its gripping storyline rooted in true events. Before its Netflix release, the movie will have a limited theatrical run in Spain starting October 3, followed by its festival premiere at the San Sebastián International Film Festival.

The film tells the story of Amaia, a young officer in Spain’s Civil Guard, who spends more than a decade undercover within ETA, the Basque separatist organization. Her mission is to locate hidden weapons caches across southern France. The film explores the immense psychological and moral cost of living a double life for such an extended period. Set against the turbulent backdrop of Spain’s political conflicts, She Walks in Darkness captures both the human and historical dimensions of an undercover operation that changed lives forever.

Susana Abaitua leads the cast with a performance that critics are already calling one of her most powerful yet. She is joined by Andrés Gertrúdix, Iraia Elias, Raúl Arévalo, and Ariadna Gil. The film also boasts a strong creative team behind the scenes, including cinematographer Paco Femenía and composer Arnau Bataller. Produced by acclaimed filmmaker J.A. Bayona and his collaborators, the project promises the same high cinematic standards associated with Spanish thrillers that have previously gained global recognition.
