Om Raut is an established director and is known for his films like Tanhaji, Adipurush, among other popular titles. He has recently made a debut as a producer with the latest film, Inspector Zende.
However, Om Raut has given the opportunity to seasoned Marathi actor and his close friend Chinmay Mandlekar to direct the film. Om has helped Chinmay to make his directorial debut with Netflix’s Inspector Zende.
Om has recently talked about working with Chinmay and said, “I have worked with Chinmay Mandlekar and witnessed his vision firsthand. This is his first time directing, and he has brought a unique blend of on-screen experience and storytelling skill to the project. What he has created with Inspector Zende is something extraordinary, and I feel proud to stand by him as a producer.”
The Marathi actor helmed a project bringing out his creativity behind the camera.
With a star-studded cast including Manoj Bajpayee and Jim Sarbh, Inspector Zende follows a cat-and-mouse chase between a cop and a notorious swimsuit killer. The series also includes Sachin Khedekar, Bhalchandra Kadam, Harish Dudhade, Onkar Raut, Bharat Savale, and Nitin Bhajan.

Previously, in an interview with PTI, Bajpayee said, “Before ‘The Family Man’, nobody thought that I would be humorous with a straight face. So, the straight face humour is a word that people have given to it. But I enjoy creating humour out of a situation which is real and relatable."
