Nikki Tamboli in 'shock' after testing positive for dengue following Dubai trip, says, "My face is so swollen..."

Actress Nikki Tamboli, known for her stint on Bigg Boss 14, has left fans worried after she revealed that she has been diagnosed with dengue. The actress recently returned from Dubai, where she was holidaying with her boyfriend, Arbaz Patel, to celebrate her birthday. However, just days after her trip, she fell seriously ill and is now under strict medical care.

Nikki took to her Instagram handle to confirm the news and later opened up in an interview with Etimes TV, where she expressed her disbelief over the diagnosis. “I honestly don’t even know how this happened. When I was in Dubai, I never realised any mosquito bit me. As far as I know, a mosquito never bit me, so it’s very shocking to know how dengue happened to me. I’m already in shock—despite taking care of myself, I still don’t understand how this happened,” she shared.

The actress went on to reveal that her health has been deteriorating over the last few days. What began as mild weakness soon escalated into severe symptoms, leaving her bedridden. “I’ve been unwell for the last six days. My face is so swollen, I can't even tell you. I'm sleeping almost 24/7, eating medicines, and trying to stay hydrated. Right now, I'm taking a break for 10 days to completely recover because this has taken a toll on me,” Nikki said.

Fans of the actress know how deeply attached she is to festivities, especially Ganesh Chaturthi. Sadly, this year, Nikki will not be able to celebrate. With her fever rising and energy levels dropping, she admitted that missing out on her favourite festival has left her emotional. According to Nikki, the high fever and weakness have made it impossible for her to enjoy even the smallest moments of celebration.
