Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are set to marry on December 4 at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Multiple OTT platforms had shown interest in securing the digital rights to the highly anticipated wedding, and recent reports suggest that Netflix has acquired the exclusive streaming rights. Latest reports state that Netflix has bagged the streaming rights of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita's wedding.
According to a report by Asianet, the deal is said to be worth a whopping Rs 50 crore, double the amount Netflix paid for Nayanthara's Beyond the Fairy Tale documentary, which was secured for Rs 25 crore.
However, neither Netflix nor the Akkineni family has officially confirmed the deal yet. If true, this wedding will be Netflix's second celebrity wedding feature, following the success of Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale, which documented the actress's wedding to Vignesh Shivan.
The couple got engaged on August 8 at Naga Chaitanya's father, actor Nagarjuna's home in Hyderabad, marking the first time they publicly acknowledged their relationship. This was followed by pre-wedding celebrations in line with Telugu traditions, including the Pasupu Danchatam ritual performed by Sobhita last month.
The upcoming wedding of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala is set to be a meticulously crafted celebration, deeply rooted in Telugu traditions. The couple has expressed their wish to honor their heritage with an authentic ceremony that embraces every aspect of Telugu culture. According to sources, the wedding will last for eight hours, following traditional Telugu Brahmin rituals, ensuring a culturally rich and meaningful celebration.
The wedding will be a private occasion, with only close family and friends present, allowing the focus to stay on the couple's union and the traditional ceremonies.
