Producer Namit Malhotra had a special message for legendary composer Hans Zimmer on his birthday, and it’s got the internet buzzing. Namit Malhotra, who is backing Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, took to Instagram to share a rare picture featuring himself with Zimmer and A.R. Rahman. The post quickly went viral among fans, who are already excited about this historic musical collaboration.
Calling Zimmer “a tremendous talent of the world,” Namit wrote, “It’s a special day. My friend and a tremendous talent of the world, the one and only @hanszimmer’s birthday. Wish you great health, happiness and the ability to keep creating and mesmerizing all of us with your genius and your talent. Can’t believe you’re a part of our journey on “Ramayana” to create something magical with you and our very own @arrahman."
Ramayana set to become a global spectacle
Ramayana is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Indian films ever made. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Malhotra under Prime Focus Studios, the two-part epic is mounted on an international scale with backing from Oscar-winning VFX giant DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
The casting itself has fans buzzing — Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The film is being envisioned as a once-in-a-lifetime cinematic spectacle, blending mythology with cutting-edge technology.
Zimmer and Rahman join forces
The biggest talking point, however, remains the music. Hans Zimmer, a two-time Oscar winner, teaming up with A.R. Rahman is a dream collaboration fans never expected. Both legends bring global sensibilities, and their work is expected to redefine how Indian epics are experienced on the big screen.
