The ‘Stranger Things’ star Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi, the son of musical legend Jon Bon Jovi, secretly got married in an intimate ceremony last weekend.
According to The Sun, the ceremony was attended by Brown and Bongiovi’s parents, Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea. "It was a very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows."
The entertainment portal is also reporting that the couple are planning to host a larger, more grand ceremony later this year.
The pair sparked romantic rumours in 2021 after Jake Bongiovi shared a selfie with the ‘Enola Holmes’ actress.
According to Brown, they met through Instagram. “We were friends for a bit,” the actress said in 2022.
A month later, the pair stepped out together in New York City while holding each other’s hands which confirmed the relationship. The couple have also made a lot of red carpet appearances with each other, including 2022 BAFTA Film Awards, and the premiere of season 4 of Brown’s Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’, and the premiere of ‘Damsel’.
In 2023, the actress started her year by calling Bongiovi her “partner for life” and 4 months later, the son of Bon Jovi, proposed to the actress.
Millie announced their engagement on 11 April on her Instagram with a black and white picture of the two. For the caption, she made a reference to the Taylor Swift song, ‘Lover’.
She captioned the post as - "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all.”
After a few weeks, Bongiovi’s father, Jon Bon Jovi spoke about his son’s engagement on a radio show.
“I don't know if age matters. If you find the right partner and you grow together ... my advice really is growing together is wise. I think that all of my kids have found people that they think they can grow together with and we like them all.”
“Millie is wonderful,” he added and said that his son is “very, very happy.”
