‘Last Night in Soho’ actress Anya Taylor-Joy wore a daring and ‘desert goddess’ inspired sheer gold dress at the ‘Furiosa’ premiere in Sydney, Australia, on Thursday. The Hollywood starlet loves to give her fans a memorable outfit for her red carpet appearances and this was no exception.
‘The Menu’ star, in her most dramatic outfit yet, stepped onto the red carpet wearing a bedazzling mesh dress covered in spikes. SPIKES! She also sported a matching headpiece with, guess what, spikes.
“How is she going to sit down?!” Is the only question that comes to mind after seeing Taylor-Joy. It also keeps everyone around her a few inches away from her.
The dress reminds one of Florence Pugh’s outfits from ‘Dune: Part 2’, in which Taylor-Joy also makes an appearance.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the outfit is a Ryan Hastings and Paco Rabanne design. It debuted on the 1996 retro-futurist runway show.
The Met Gala is right around the corner and if Taylor-Joy’s recent wardrobe is any indication of what she’ll wear for the exclusive event then I think we already know who the best dressed will be.
‘Furiosa’ is a prequel to the 2015 ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. The prequel focuses on a young Furiosa who is abducted from the “Green Place of Many Mothers” and finds herself in the hands of a biker horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Traveling the wasteland, they stumble upon the Citadel, ruled by the Immortan Joe. The two tyrants start fighting for dominance and power. Furiosa finds herself thrown in the midst of a non-stop gruesome battle while trying to find her way home.
Directed by George Miller, the film features a 15 minute action sequence that took 78 days to shoot and required 200 stunt workers daily, reported Variety. The crew called the sequence ‘Stairway to Nowhere’.
‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ hits theatres 24 May.
