Korean actor Yoon Ji-On has found himself in the middle of a storm after admitting to driving under the influence. The 35-year-old actor, best known for roles in Be Melodramatic, Memorist, Tomorrow, and most recently Love Next Door, issued a public apology on September 17 and confirmed that he would be stepping down from his upcoming drama Positively Yours.

Yoon addressed fans and the public through a somber Instagram post, uploading a black image with a long caption written in Korean. In his translated statement, he confessed, “On September 16, I made the mistake of riding a motorcycle while drunk. I cannot remember the details. I admitted to all allegations and am cooperating with the investigation.” He went on to acknowledge the disappointment he caused to his supporters, adding, “Because of my insolent behavior, I hurt and disappointed so many people who supported me. I will be vigilant for the rest of my life to prevent this from happening again. There is no excuse at all. Once again I bow my head and apologize.”
