Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters singers recently made their late-night debut with a stellar first-ever live performance of their chart-topping single "Golden" on Tuesday.
EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami sing for the parts of Zoey (Ji-young Yoo), Mira (May Hong), and Rumi (Arden Cho), respectively, in the Netflix animated series.
Netflix's film vocalists Huntr/x took over Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show on Tuesday. During the show, Jimmy Fallon informed the trio that the movie's soundtrack had achieved platinum status, citing the most recent Billboard 200 album chart.
In the most recent tracking week, the soundtrack to KPop Demon Hunters spent a second non-consecutive week at the top of the charts. The record received 117 million official on-demand streams, out of the 102,000 equivalent album units earned during the most recent tracking week.
The animated film was released on June 20 and surpassed the previous record holder, Red Notice, with 236 million views by the end of August, making it the streamer's most-watched movie ever.
The movie, which was directed by Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang, centres on a K-pop supergroup that has to juggle their lives as well-known pop stars with their covert side business as demon slayers.
