Suniel Shetty and Vivek Oberoi starrer Kesari Veer failed to receive the expected box office collection on its opening day. The film was released on May 23 and marked a major comeback of Sooraj Pancholi after around four years.
According to an early estimation by Sacnilk, Kesari Veer earned around 0.25 crore (25 lakhs) in India net on its first day. The film generated an overall 6.62% Hindi Occupancy on Friday.
Kesari Veer notably recorded the lowest opening box office collection of 2025. The film failed to surpass The Bhootnii collection, which was Rs 65 lakhs, as well as Superboys of Malegaon, which earned Rs 50 lakhs on their opening days.
Meanwhile, the film is receiving tough competition from Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf. The film grossed Rs 6.75 crore net in India on its opening day.
For the unversed, Kesari Veer is a historical action drama and features Akanksha Sharma, Barkha Bisht, Kiran Kumar, Aruna Irani, and Bhavya Gandhi in the key roles.
Directed by Prince Dhiman, the film narrates the tale of Hamirji Gohil, a brave warrior who fought against the Tughlaq Empire to protect the Somnath Temple and the Hindu faith. Sooraj Pancholi portrays the brave warrior Hamirji Gohil. The actor has recently received a shoutout from Salman Khan on social media, creating a buzz among the audience.
Salman took to his Instagram and shared a photo with Sooraj promoting his comeback to Bollywood. Alongside the photo, he wrote in the caption, “Abhi raat hai, subah Sooraj chamkega @soorajpancholi (It's night now, the sun will rise in the morning).”
