PLAVE’s upcoming concert in Seoul faced an alarming security threat on August 19, when authorities confirmed a bomb scare targeting the K-pop group. A man in his 20s was arrested shortly after issuing the threat, which authorities say was made through social media. The suspect reportedly claimed he intended to plant explosives at the event, raising concerns about the safety of large-scale K-pop concerts.

According to Korean media reports, the man first drew attention by altering a promotional photo for PLAVE's encore concert, scheduled for November 21 and 22, and posting a threatening message. In his post, he specifically mentioned the Gocheok Dome, stating, “I will plant explosives at Gocheok Dome.” The incident came to light just days after THE BOYZ was forced to delay a show due to a similar threat, highlighting a worrying trend in security issues surrounding K-pop performances.

Authorities acted swiftly after the warning emerged. The Yongin Seobu Police in Gyeonggi Province confirmed that the suspect was apprehended within two and a half hours of receiving the report. During police questioning, the individual reportedly downplayed the severity of his actions, referring to the threat as “just a prank.” Despite this claim, officials have stressed that the case remains under investigation and appropriate measures are being taken to ensure the safety of fans attending future concerts.
