Zubeen Garg's Final Journey
Zubeen Garg tragically died on Friday (September 19) in a scuba diving accident when he was in Singapore for the North East Festival. The noted singer's mortal remains were brought to India from Singapore and thousands of people gathered to offer their tributes to Zubeen Garg. His mortal remains were taken in a decorated vehicle and there was an enormous outpouring of public mourning.
Honouring a Legend
Zubeen's fans were seen reaching out to the van carrying his mortal remains to pay their respects. Zubeen died of drowning as mentioned in his death certificate issued by Singapore authorities.
Mourners and Memories
Thousands of mourners tried to capture the late singer for one last time in their phones. Assam CM Hemant Biswa was at the Delhi airport to receive the mortal remains before bringing it to Guwahati for the final rites.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inspected the site where singer Zubeen Garg will be cremated on Tuesday. Sarma visited the site at Kamarkuchi NC village in Sonapur revenue circle near Guwahati on Sunday night.

Fans were seen turning out in large numbers as they bid goodbye to their beloved singer. Zubeen's final rites will be held on Tuesday morning (September 23).
