Govinda’s wife, Ssunita Ahuja, has spoken out after reports suggested she made remarks about Ahaan Panday. Setting the record straight, she expressed admiration for the young actor while also criticising media outlets for twisting her words.

In her clarification, Ssunita emphasised that she never criticised Ahaan or his work. Instead, she praised him, saying, “Maine Ahaan Panday ke baare main kuch nahi bola, picture maine dekha mujhe itta acha laga. I want to tell you Ahaan that I am a fan of yours bacha aur maine kuch nahi bola. Yeh media na bhot unglibaaji karti hai, inko band karna chaiye yeh karne ke liye ("I didn’t say anything about Ahaan Panday — I just saw the film and I really liked it. I want to tell you, Ahaan, that I’m a fan of yours, bacha, and I didn’t say a word. The media, honestly, they poke around too much — this kind of thing needs to be stopped")

Highlighting her support for the next wave of talent, Ssunita added, “Main chahti hu jaise mera beta hai, Ibrahim hai, Ahaan Panday, sab baccho ka naam hona chahiye. Ab main chahti hu youngsters logo ka naam hona chaiye but maine kuch bhi nahi bola hai (I want all the kids to make a name for themselves — like my son, Ibrahim, and Ahaan Panday. Now I want the youngsters to be recognised, but I haven’t said anything at all.")

She explained that her intention has always been to see young actors flourish, not to pull them down.

Taking a sharp dig at misreporting, she urged media outlets to avoid sensationalising her statements. “Yeh unglibaazi karna band kro yeh media waalo. Tumko pta hai na main kaise hu fir? (Stop this meddling, you media folks. You know how I am, right?)”
