Director Jeethu Joseph has put an end to the swirling speculations around the release strategy of Drishyam 3. Social media had been buzzing with claims that the Malayalam, Hindi and Telugu versions would arrive on the same day, especially after a screenshot of a chat between Jeethu and a fan began doing the rounds.

In that exchange, a user asked whether Panorama Studios acquiring the theatrical rights meant a simultaneous release. Jeethu reportedly replied, “No… we will release first after 2 months only they can release.”
While the authenticity of the screenshot is still to be formally verified, the director’s latest comments back the same timeline.

Jeethu, in an interview with Pinkvilla, confirmed that the makers of the Hindi and Telugu remakes had indeed asked him whether all versions could release together. He added that although discussions happened, the decision was ultimately clear: the Malayalam original will arrive first.

Jeethu stated, “The makers of the Hindi and Telugu versions have asked whether we can release the film simultaneously.” But with the schedules, production pipeline, and narrative requirements differing across languages, the team decided the remakes would follow roughly two months after the Malayalam version hits theatres.
